Well, I decided that I needed to make some new good habits. I used to really enjoy the morning part of the day...everything fresh and cool! Living in Florida, that is especially so...because it can get dreadfully hot in the summer.
So good habit #1, wake up every day at 7:30 am. Believe me, that is early, especially for someone that has been sleeping as late as noon on numerous occasions. It is said that it takes 21 days to make a habit...well, I took the first step, so only 20 more mornings to go.
It was tough this morning, because I don't sleep that well at night. That is probably due to a variety of reasons. I was tempted to put it off til tomorrow (my bad habit), but I didn't and I feel great.
I figure that it will also be better for me to get to sleep faster. I'll definitely have to make sure that on the days that I work, I come home and try to get to bed no later than 2 am. If I really need sleep, I'll allow my self to take a one-hour siesta, but no more than 1 hour. I'm sure that also affects my sleep.
My short-range goal is to be able to make it to the gym. With getting up early, I think that it will be easier to push myself there, and still feel that after I have a good portion of the day remaining. Step by step is my goal...
